THRIFT: Haul I
I am a big thrifter. I may even consider myself a pro. I mean I've had more than enough experience to give me that title. Maybe a little too much.
Thrifting is just such a fun and relaxing hobby of mine. I always tell myself that it's better than going on a shopping spree on the Magnificent Mile. Same reward, smaller price.
Usually I set a time limit on my thrifting adventures to two hours, but this time I had no limit. What happened you ask? I wonder through every section of giant Salvation Army with a cart full of items and stayed there for 4 hours. FOUR HOURS! An hour of that was probably just trying to limit it down to under $20. That's always the hardest part.
Alas, here are the detailed results of my ridiculously long adventure -
THE HOME GOODS & ACCESSORIES
Sunflower Makeup Bags $2.99
I have no close up, but they deserve a lot of credit for now housing all of my scrunchies and beauty tools.
2 Small Plates $3.50
Large Plate $2.50
I think you can tell your twenty-ish if you get ridiculously excited about dishes.
I hate to play favorites but these dishes are most glorious piece of porcelain I've ever seen.
Tiny Crab Earrings $0.89
Tiny stud earrings - preferably an animal form - has a spot on my ear.
Tea Cup $0.69
A tiny teacup to pretend I'm living in London and not Chiberia.
THE CLOTHING
From left to right:
Banana Republic Grey Moto Pants $1.24
Deep Green Simple Shift Dress $1.99
Long Daisy Maxi Dress $1.99
Mink Pink Tapestry High-Waisted Shorts $3.99
So I may only be able to wear the pants for another 3-4 months (¡Ojalá!), but you always find the best summer clothes in the winter. Also, I just want summer so maybe it's getting reflected in my purchases. I didn't even want to go through the sweater section.
GRAND TOTAL: $19.78
Anyways, ARE YOU A THRIFTER?
If you are, please show me your finds. I love seeing other people's finds.
If you aren't, DO IT.
